This project was born out of a workshop I attended in Lunenburg Nova Scotia led by Andre Gallant. Andre had started a photo-a-week challenge with a friend, and the attendees at this workshop decided to join his challenge starting on July 1, 2013. The “assignment” for the week is determined by Andre, and the challenge is to take a photo for that assigned topic during that week – no photos from an earlier time period. I wanted to participate to challenge my creativity in photography and to push myself to take photos every week. Andre’s challenge ended with the end of 2013, but our group from Lunenburg have continued the challenge with topics selected from ideas shared. I will continue to add to this gallery, most recent photo first, with a photo representing every week. I hope you enjoy the variety that this type of challenge will provide, with photos that do not fit a traditional category!
